We’re just wrapping up another season of art classes at Curtis Arts Center and what a joy it’s been! I loved seeing students enjoy the fun effects watercolor can create and watching calligraphy students fall into a rhythm of lettering.
Showing up to try your hand at a new skill is half the battle. Setting aside the time is also a big commitment. But doing so is an investment in your Creative Self, the part of you that wants to pursue an artistic path.
The magic happens when we come together to SHARE a few hours of time spent making letters or painting shapes. We dive into our supplies enjoying the thrill of it and loving the process.

Brushing Up on Your Modern Calligraphy ~ Practice makes perfect and this class will rejuvenate your lettering skills and take them to the next level! Beginners and Intermediates are welcome. Lessons will include letterforms and instruction, making letters with nibs/ink, brush lettering with watercolor, adding botanical accents to letters, and making small gifts/tags/stationeries to practice your skills. I’m teaching watercolor and collage techniques and we’re turning them into cards for patients, parents, and staff at CHC.
