“A great deal of talent is lost to the world for want of a little courage.”
~ Sydney Smith
Talent is within each one of us in one form or another. Whether we allow it to bloom or whither away is up to us. An artist may not have enough courage to grow their creativity as much as a non-artist may be fearful to begin.
One way to rouse courage is to pay attention to your instinctive excitement when you hear about a new class being offered. Use Mel Robbin’s “Five Second Rule” if you are tempted to sign up ~ 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 ~ REGISTER! Don’t let yourself overthink your way out of missing that opportunity.
I just took my own advice this year by enrolling in Kevin Weckbach’s “Master artist class” and “Color Theory” at Curtis Arts Center. Both curriculums were a reach for me and took a bunch of courage. But I consider myself lucky to have been Kevin’s student and to have learned so much. He is so knowledgable and skilled, as well as encouraging.
Won’t you begin by exploring your creative side with me? The months from March through June are brimming with opportunities!
So how about joining me and JUST BEGIN?
